Sanect Project Audit — 2026-06-27 (Pre-Marketing Launch)
Full-stack audit across all 15+ services, contracts, and apps. 7 parallel agents scanned every directory in the monorepo.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Mainnet is live and production-ready. All core systems are deployed, tested, and operational. No blockers for marketing launch. A handful of cosmetic testnet references remain in the landing site and explorer — low priority but should be cleaned up for polish.

Priority: 🟡 MEDIUM — cosmetic but looks unprofessional if users browse deep pages.

Note: Blog posts about testnet are fine as historical content. But FAQ, terms, disclaimer, developers, and node pages need mainnet updates. The approach should be: add mainnet as primary, keep testnet as secondary reference (since both networks run).

5. OFF-CHAIN NOTE INDEXER — DETAILED STATUS
Current state: Wallets trial-decrypt every memo from block 0 using the viewing key. At current chain height (~1.4M blocks) this takes 1-3 minutes. Acceptable for now but will degrade as chain grows.
What's implemented:
- 96-byte FMD (Fuzzy Message Detection) field reserved in every memo envelope (
FMD_BYTES = 96instaking-app/lib/encryptedMemo.ts) - Balance sweep in airdrop-indexer scores shielded-held points (0.3 pt/day/$ shielded)
- IndexedDB caching in browser so re-scans start from last-scanned block
- Memo indexer (
staking-app/lib/memoIndexer.ts) tracks scan progress
What's NOT implemented yet (Phase 4):
- Server-side FMD tag generation (sender writes detection tags into the reserved 96 bytes)
- FMD false-positive-rate tuning (Penumbra uses γ parameter)
- Off-chain scanning service that filters memos by FMD tags before sending to wallet
- This would reduce scan time from minutes to seconds regardless of chain height
Impact on airdrop: Users shielding for airdrop points won't be blocked — the current trial-decrypt approach works, just takes 1-3 min on first scan. Repeat visits are fast (IndexedDB cache). FMD is a UX improvement, not a functional blocker.
Recommendation: Defer to post-launch Phase 4 as planned. If user complaints arise about scan time, the quick fix is to increase the memo indexer's RPC batch size or run a dedicated archive RPC for scanning.

One minor note: Relayer Dockerfile runs as root with chmod 0777 /data. Documented as intentional (container isolation is the security boundary) but best practice would be a dedicated user. Low priority.
