SNCT tokenomics + airdrop: locked

Posted [DATE]. Authored by the sanect team.

We're locking in SNCT tokenomics and the airdrop program today. The full canonical breakdown lives at sanect.com/tokenomics. This post explains how we got here and what it means if you want to participate.

The headline

  • 1,000,000,000 SNCT at genesis. Fixed supply at TGE; ongoing inflation funds validator security only.
  • 30% of supply (300M SNCT) goes to the community via airdrop.
  • No VC allocation. Ever.
  • 10% to the team, vested 48 months with a 185-day cliff.
  • 5% to genesis 50 validators + open partnerships — and the partnership reserve is discretionary, so if your validator firm wants to talk, the door's open.

The 10 buckets

Bucket%Tokens
Airdrop (4 phases)30%300M
Treasury25%250M
Community & ecosystem10%100M
LP incentives10%100M
Team10%100M
Listings / Marketing / BD / Audit5%50M
Validator grants5%50M
Foundation3%30M
Advisors + Influencers1%10M
Discretionary1%10M

The breakdown is intentionally heavy on community and treasury, light on team. We're betting that a fairly-distributed token outperforms a VC-stacked one over the years that matter, not the weeks that don't.

The airdrop: 4 phases of 75M each

Snapshots and claim windows open on:

  • Day 180 (Phase 1)
  • Day 270 (Phase 2)
  • Day 360 (Phase 3)
  • Day 450 (Phase 4)

Each phase distributes 75M SNCT (25% of the airdrop bucket), and each claim vests linearly over 180 days from the moment you claim.

Points reset every phase. This isn't a one-and-done — using sanect across all four windows is how you accumulate the most.

How you earn points

Real activity. Real points. No flat-rate "spam this button for tokens" loops. The full 13-product matrix is at sanect.com/docs/airdrop-points but here's the principle:

Every points-earning action is either time-locked (paid by days held) or fee-locked (paid by fees spent). This kills wash-trading and in-out looping by design, not by sybil-filter band-aids.

A flavor of what earns:

  • Shielded held — 0.3 pt/day per $ shielded. Privacy is the product.
  • LP chef-staked — 0.15 pt/day per $ TVL (0.1 base + 0.05 chef bonus)
  • Bridge held — 0.1 pt/day per $ bridged in, from hour 24 onward
  • DEX swap — 0.5 × fees paid (so wash-looping costs you DEX fees ≥ points earned)
  • Delegated — 0.05 pt/day per $ delegated. Stacks with native staking rewards.

If you do $1k of shielded, $1k of LP, $1k bridged, $1k delegated for 90 days each, that's ~50,000 points. There's no per-wallet cap — a whale doing 100× this earns 100× the points. Same rate, no penalty.

No caps anywhere

  • No per-wallet airdrop cap. Real work = real points.
  • No per-referrer cap. A 1M-follower influencer who brings 10,000 referees should earn 10,000× a small referrer. We mean that.

Mouth marketing — the referral program

Refer friends. Earn 10 pts flat per referral + 10% of their phase points.

Share your link. For every successful referral:

  • You get a flat 10 points (one-time, on activation)
  • Plus 10% of every referee's phase points, every phase
  • Referee earns their normal points — no bonus, no penalty

One referrer per wallet, immutable. No cap on referrals.

What counts as a "successful" referral

A referral only counts toward your reward once the referee:

  1. Bridges in ≥ $50 to sanect OR uses ≥ 3 distinct sanect products
  2. Their wallet existed BEFORE the referral was claimed (catches wallet-spam)
  3. Hasn't already been referred by someone else (first valid attribution wins)

These gates are why we can offer the flat 10 pts without spam loops: the bridge fees + gas to fake activation cost more than 10 pts is worth at any plausible SNCT price.

Why both flat + commission

  • Flat 10 pts = predictable recruitment thank-you. Influencers know exactly what each referee is worth at minimum.
  • 10% commission = compound reward for bringing high-quality users.

A KOL bringing 10,000 engaged referees who each average 5,000 phase points: 100,000 flat (10 × 10k) + 5,000,000 commission (10% of 50M). That's a top-tier allocation, legitimately earned.

No paid promotion deals. No "post about us and we'll send you tokens" arrangements. Word-of-mouth is the only marketing channel that survives the chain's lifetime. Make it work.

Phase 1 wallet-age multiplier — for the OG cohort

In Phase 1 only, your earned points get a multiplier based on how old your wallet is — across all 6 supported EVM chains (Ethereum, Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, Polygon, Avalanche). Multiplier applies to your own earned points (product + off-chain), NOT to referral earnings.

Earliest cross-chain activityMultiplier
1+ year1.1×
2+ years1.25×
5+ years1.5×
7+ years (pre-COVID era — real OG)2×

Phase 1 formula:

(own_product_pts + own_offchain_pts) × multiplier + referral_earnings

So a pre-COVID OG who earns 5,000 product pts gets +5,000 bonus on top — a real reward for being an early crypto adopter. New wallets still earn full Phase 1 rewards at 1×; multiplier just bumps up veterans. Phases 2–4 don't use the multiplier.

How the claim works

We're using a registered claim model. Plain English:

  1. We compute your final allocation off-chain (verifiable from public CSVs + indexer source).
  2. We load it into the AirdropDistributor contract before Day 180.
  3. Once the phase opens, you connect your wallet, sign a verify message, and call claim(). Your liquid portion arrives instantly. The vested portion releases linearly over 180 days; you pull it whenever you like with one tx.
  4. Anything unclaimed after 365 days reverts to Treasury.

No Merkle proofs to generate yourself. No claim-window panic. No arbitrary "missed your chance" cutoff — you have a full year.

No testnet airdrop

If you farmed our testnet for the airdrop, this won't be the news you hoped for. Testnet activity does NOT qualify. Mainnet only. We made this call back in June and it stays — testnet was for finding bugs, not for distributing tokens.

The mercenary cohort that exists purely for the drop is exactly the cohort our points design is trying to filter out anyway. We'd rather under-distribute to bots than over-distribute and dump a thinly-traded launch.

No supply burn at launch, but the sinks are real

Four active SNCT sinks from Day 0:

  1. EIP-1559 gas burn — 50% of base fee burned, 50% to Treasury
  2. Governance buyback + burn — Treasury accumulates revenue; community can vote at any time to buy SNCT from market and burn
  3. DEX protocol fee — Uniswap V2 feeTo flipped on routing 1/6 of LP fees (0.05% of swap volume) to Treasury
  4. .snct domain fees — Registrations and renewals paid in SNCT

No artificial monthly burns. No tokenomics theater. Just real protocol usage tied to real value accrual.

What's next

If you want to start earning points right now:

  1. Connect any EVM wallet to sanect (Chain ID 7628, RPC https://rpc.sanect.com)
  2. Use the DEX, the privacy shield, the bridge, register a .snct name, run a validator
  3. Watch your points accumulate at airdrop.sanect.com (dashboard ships in 4-6 weeks)
  4. Don't try to game it — every loop is engineered to lose money to the wash mechanism

If you want to validate, bridge, integrate, or partner with the ecosystem, we have a 45M open discretionary validator-grants reserve specifically for new tie-ups. Reach out via [email protected].
