Bridge assets

Sanect uses Hyperlane for cross-chain messaging. You can bridge tokens from Ethereum to Sanect and back, with delivery typically landing in 1--3 minutes.

How it works

Hyperlane's cross-chain messaging connects Sanect to Ethereum (and eventually other EVM chains). The bridge uses two contract types:

  • HypERC20Collateral adapters on source chains lock the original token in escrow.
  • HypERC20 synthetics on Sanect represent the locked tokens 1:1.

Single canonical synthetic per asset. All source-chain adapters for a given asset (Ethereum, BSC, Arbitrum, etc.) enroll as remote routers on the SAME Sanect-side synthetic. So Sanect shows ONE "USDC" token regardless of which chain you bridged from -- no .eth / .bsc suffix confusion, no DEX pool fragmentation.

When you bridge in, the adapter locks your tokens on the source chain and the synthetic mints an equal amount on Sanect. When you bridge out, the synthetic burns and the adapter releases your original tokens.

Supported assets

14 ERC-20 assets are bridged from Ethereum mainnet:

Native SNCT bridge

The native SNCT bridge is separate from the ERC-20 bridges above. It lets you move SNCT itself between Sanect and Ethereum.

HypERC20Payable (synthetic wSNCT)Ethereum0x2D4d99c44eDc3da75529401FBDcC895De28Dc12d

On the Sanect side, SNCT is wrapped as WSNCT (0x4f35BD61FEd919aA9933C6333e388b3B7E1108Dc) and locked in the adapter. On the Ethereum side, synthetic wSNCT is minted.

Bridge UI

The bridge is available in the DEX app's Bridge tab at swap.sanect.com.

  1. Connect your MetaMask wallet.
  2. Select the source chain and the asset you want to bridge.
  3. Enter the amount.
  4. Approve the token (first time only).
  5. Click Bridge and confirm in MetaMask.
  6. Wait 1--3 minutes for delivery.

Delivery time

Typical delivery is 1--3 minutes. The Hyperlane relayer picks up your message from the source chain, generates metadata, and delivers it to the destination chain's Mailbox.

Security model

The bridge currently uses a TrustedRelayerIsm -- a single trusted relayer processes all cross-chain messages. This is a testnet-grade trust model suitable for early operation.

The plan is to migrate to a MessageIdMultisigIsm with a multi-validator set (2-of-3 threshold, geographically distributed). This upgrade is scheduled for Day 7 post-mainnet.

Important: msg.value on Ethereum mainnet

If you are interacting with the bridge contracts directly (not through the UI), note that on Ethereum mainnet the transferRemote call MUST have --value 0. Ethereum's Mailbox uses a MerkleTreeHook as its required hook, which reverts with "MerkleTreeHook: no value expected" on any non-zero msg.value.

This is different from Sepolia testnet, where --value 1 is required for the StaticProtocolFee hook.

Planned expansion

Hyperlane has canonical Mailboxes deployed on many EVM chains. The same bridge pattern extends to any of them. Planned Tier 1 expansions:

  • Base
  • Arbitrum One
  • Optimism
  • Polygon PoS
  • BSC
  • Avalanche

Each new chain takes approximately 30 minutes to deploy and costs ~$2--5 in destination-chain gas.

Next step: Swap and provide liquidity on the DEX
