.snct name service
The .snct name service is an ENS-inspired naming system for the Sanect chain. Register human-readable .snct names that resolve to your wallet address -- e.g. alice.snct instead of 0x7cB6....
Features
- Registration -- register any available name for 1--5 year terms with length-based pricing via the PriceOracle.
- Sealed-bid auctions -- premium and short names go through a sealed-bid auction process where bidders commit a hashed bid, then reveal. Highest bid wins.
- Marketplace -- buy and sell registered
.snctnames from other users. - Reverse resolution -- set a reverse record so your address resolves back to your
.snctname. DApps on Sanect can display your name instead of your hex address. - Public resolver -- each name can store arbitrary records (addresses, text, content hashes) via the resolver contract.

The .snct name service dApp is available at:
- Mainnet: domain.sanect.com
- Testnet: domain.testnet.sanect.com
The dApp has five tabs:
- Lookup -- check if a name is available and see its records.
- Register -- register an available name for 1--5 years.
- Auction -- browse active auctions and place sealed bids.
- Marketplace -- buy and sell registered names.
- Manage -- configure your owned names (set resolver records, transfer, renew).
How to register a name
- Go to the dApp and connect your MetaMask wallet.
- Search for the name you want in the Lookup tab.
- If available, click Register and choose a registration period (1--5 years).
- The PriceOracle determines the fee based on name length -- shorter names cost more.
- Confirm the transaction in MetaMask.
- Your name is now registered and resolves to your wallet address.
How to set a reverse record
A reverse record lets DApps display your .snct name instead of your hex address.
- Go to the Manage tab.
- Select your name and click Set as primary name.
- Confirm the transaction.
Setting a reverse record earns 100 airdrop points (one-time, lifetime cap of 1).
